Celebrating 40 Years of Richmondwood

Celebration at Richmondwood Care Home Bournemouth of 40 years open

Last month, we were proud to celebrate a very special milestone at Richmondwood — 40 years of caring for residents and supporting families.

Reaching a 40-year anniversary is a wonderful moment in the life of any care home, and for us it was a chance to reflect on the many years of compassion, dedication, and community that have shaped Richmondwood into what it is today.

Over the past four decades, Richmondwood has been a home to many residents, a place of reassurance for families, and a workplace built on kindness, commitment, and genuine care. While a great deal has changed over the years, our focus has always remained the same: to provide a warm, supportive environment where people feel respected, comfortable, and valued.

To mark the occasion, we held a special anniversary party last month, bringing people together to celebrate this important chapter in Richmondwood’s history. It was a lovely opportunity to enjoy the occasion, reflect on happy memories, and recognise the people who have been part of Richmondwood’s story over the years.

Anniversaries like this are not only about looking back, but also about appreciating the strong foundations that continue to shape the care we provide today. We are incredibly grateful to our residents, families, staff, and wider community for being part of that journey.

As we celebrate 40 years of Richmondwood, we also look ahead with pride — continuing our commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care for many years to come.

Thank you for being part of our story

We would like to thank everyone who has supported Richmondwood over the years and helped make it the welcoming and caring home it is today. Celebrating 40 years was a very special moment for us, and we were delighted to share it with those around us.

Here’s to the next chapter.
